As of 1 April 2025, completing the SIA Door Supervisor Refresher Course has become a mandatory requirement to renew and retain your Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisor Licence. This updated regulation ensures all licensed professionals remain equipped with the latest operational, legal, and safety standards expected in the UK’s fast-evolving security industry.

Before enrolling in any security qualification, including this refresher, all learners must hold a valid Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate.
This is a mandatory prerequisite set by the SIA.

Our 1.5-day Door Supervisor Refresher Course is a comprehensive, blended learning programme designed specifically for existing licence holders. It refreshes your knowledge, strengthens your operational awareness, and ensures you meet the current professional standards required by the SIA.
The training covers both theoretical understanding and practical application, empowering you to handle real-world security situations safely and effectively.

9–10 hours of e-learning (self-study) – Complete your online modules at your own pace before attending your classroom sessions.
1.5 days of in-person training – Delivered by our SIA-approved instructors at our North London (Tottenham) training facility.

How to assess and minimise risks associated with restraint and removal
Safe application of physical skills to protect yourself and others
Non-pain compliant techniques for standing, holding, and escorting individuals
Each session is delivered by experienced security professionals who ensure a hands-on, scenario-based learning experience that reflects real-life environments.
To successfully complete the qualification, learners must demonstrate both knowledge and practical competence through the following assessments:
